Jacques Greene to play live set in Chicago on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1st Ward / Chop Shop

[ NOTE: Moved from Bottom Lounge to 1st Ward / Chop Shop ]

Silver Wrapper presents Jacques Greene (Live) with special guests Savile and Them Flavors on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 1st Ward / Chop Shop.

Montreal wunderboy Jacques Greene brings his trademark blend of bass music, synth-heavy house and futuristic RnB live to Chicago. LuckyMe cohort Jacques Greene is considered one of those young producers who’d rather let the music do the talking than get wrapped up in transient fashions and trends. Maintaining a steady output of characterfully deep dance floor burners, Jacques is more concerned with mastering his craft than masterminding any meteoric rise to the top. With his releases on LuckyMe and Night Slugs, the Montreal-based producer fused pacey two-step rhythms with breathy synthwork and RnB vocals to create the kind of spangled neon atmospheres that every club worth its salt wants bouncing round the walls. Jacques knows the importance of keeping the dancers on their toes, and with a bunch of surprises up his sleeve, like a live analogue set-up, the launch of his own label, Vase Records, and his Ready 12" on Martyn's 3024 label, he shows that he’s the kind of producer who’s more than happy to run things at his own pace. Check out the just released first single of his forthcoming EP, "After Life After Party", here.

Doors @ 9:00 pm. Show @ 10:00 pm. Ages 18+.
