OK. So, what better way to kick off the weekend than with the New Deal. After blowing up the Metro at last year's festival late night, the New Deal return to Chicago with its brand of live improvised breakbeat house music. This time, we're back at Logan Square Auditorium, where the last time they played you all drank the bar dry. If you didn't know, the New Deal bridges the live music and dance communities with explosive performances that play like a DJ set (seamless mixes from one song or style to another) with the ability to ride with and steer an energetic dance crowd. And that's exactly what you should expect. Orchard Lounge opens and spins inbetween sets. So, get ready. And get ready for a great weekend of music.

Orchard Lounge is a collective of DJs and friends that formed in Chicago around 2000. More than anything, the trio of Ben Silver, Spencer Lokken, and Bethany Briscoe focus on performing for a more discerning dance floor. They've never let their passion for the beat confine them to a single genre, as a typical set may include anything from dubbed-out downtempo and IDM to esoteric tech house and b-boy era electro. At the very core, the three are simply fans of the producers whose name appear on their records. They've always fully understood their roles as middle man (and woman), and thrive on exposing new music to the masses. "From the Dance Floor to the Couch" is the appropriate phrase that defines Orchard Lounge, as their musical selections are suited for any state of mind or environment.
