Sound Tribe Sector 9 is a collective musical experience not to be missed. Originating in Atlanta and moving eventually to the West Coast, STS9 is an instrumental space jazz group dedicated to the synergy of their music. Playing over 300 gigs a year, STS9 makes each experience unique. They play to the crowd, for the crowd, and often with the crowd, as they thrive on audience participation. They are about the collective effort of music and the spiritual and artistic enlightenment that comes from such effort. Sound Tribe Sector 9's unusual mix of jazz, trance, and groove makes for a powerful musical endeavor. They come to Chicago this go around for a special two-night run after catapulting to front of the electronic scene with their debut studio effort, Artifact.
